RankBuilder ("RankBuilder", "we", "us", or "our") provides an AI-powered SEO and content platform at rankbuilder.ai (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including when you connect your Google account so we can read data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics on your behalf. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Account information. When you create a RankBuilder account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication details through our identity provider (Firebase Authentication).
Site and content data. Information about the websites you add to RankBuilder, including domains, crawled pages, audit results, generated content, keywords, and prompts you configure for AI visibility tracking.
Connected account data. If you connect third-party accounts (Google, Shopify, WordPress), we store the access tokens and account/property metadata needed to provide the Service, as described in Section 2 below.
Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect standard analytics data (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and referral source) to help us understand how the Service is used and improve it.
RankBuilder integrates with Google Search Console and Google Analytics so you can view your SEO and traffic performance inside RankBuilder. When you connect your Google account, we request the following read-only OAuth scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly — to read your Search Console properties, search performance, and indexing data.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly — to read your Google Analytics (GA4) properties and traffic reports. These scopes are strictly read-only. RankBuilder cannot modify, delete, or take any action on your Search Console or Google Analytics data, and we never request access to your Gmail, Drive, Docs, or any other Google service beyond what is listed above.
We store the OAuth access token, refresh token, granted scope, and basic property metadata (e.g. site URLs, GA4 property IDs and display names) in our database (Google Firestore) so the connection can be used to fetch data on your behalf without asking you to re-authenticate every session. This data is associated with your RankBuilder account and the specific site you connected it to.
How we use it. Data retrieved from Search Console and Google Analytics is used solely to power the features you see inside your RankBuilder dashboard — search performance charts, indexing/audit checks, and traffic metrics. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party except as strictly necessary to provide the Service (for example, our hosting and database provider) or as required by law.
Revoking access. You can disconnect Google from RankBuilder at any time from Dashboard → Connections, or revoke RankBuilder's access directly from your Google Account permissions page. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens; previously fetched reports already saved in your account may remain until you delete them or your account.
RankBuilder's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Some RankBuilder features (such as content generation, audit summaries, and prompt suggestions) send relevant text — for example page content, keywords, or prompts you provide — to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI) in order to generate a response. These providers process the data solely to return results to RankBuilder and do not use it to train their models on your behalf, per their business/API terms.
Your data is stored using Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase Authentication and Firestore). We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using commercially reasonable safeguards.
We retain your account and site data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect a third-party integration, its access tokens are deleted immediately. If you delete your RankBuilder account, we delete or anonymize your personal data and connected account data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can manage most of your data directly from your RankBuilder dashboard, or contact us at plutendo5@gmail.com to request account deletion or a copy of your data.
The Service is not directed to individuals under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the Service.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us at plutendo5@gmail.com.
